AIESEC is a global platform for young people to develop their leadership potential through practical experiencesof many kinds, including internships, volunteering opportunities, and more Every young person holds the responsibility to positively shape the future of our world. We believe that they should harness their full potential. Our goal is to offer young individuals global and practical experiences, allowing them to view the world from diverse perspectives. In doing so, we contribute to their growth as adaptable individuals, open to change. We support them in laying the foundation to make the right decisions for their future.

1948

AIESEC was established

AIESEC was established in 1948 after World War II, where seven youth across seven countries had a dream of building cross-cultural understanding across nations. They hoped to change the world, one person and one internship at a time.

1977

Spread across 6 continents

By 1977, AIESEC was present in 50 countries across six continents! To this date, over 40,000 young people around the world had participated in a leadership development experience.

2006

AIESEC was established in Azerbaijan

The organization built partnerships with universities, businesses, and government institutions, which helped increase its visibility and impact. AIESEC Azerbaijan started to send and receive more exchange participants, allowing young people from Azerbaijan to gain international experience and bring foreign interns to the country.

2010

Over 10,000 experiences that year

In 2010, AIESEC crosses 10,000 experiences delivered in one year alone for the first time. By now, over 230,000 experiences have been provided, all facilitated by youth for youth.
